Delete Your Account & Data

Effective Date: August 17, 2026

You can permanently delete your GLTrax account and the health data in it at any time, from the app or from the website, without asking anyone's permission and without giving a reason. This page explains how, what is removed, what we are required to keep, and how long it takes.

1. Delete it yourself

In the GLTrax app (iPhone or Android): open Settings, scroll to Delete Account, tap Request account deletion, type DELETE to confirm, and submit.

On the website: sign in and go to gltrax.com/settings, find Delete account & data, then follow the same confirmation.

Both routes do exactly the same thing and reach the same queue. You do not need the app installed to use the website, and you do not need the website to use the app.

Submitting the request does not delete anything by itself. A member of our team reviews it — this is a check that the request is genuine, not a decision about whether to honor it — and then the deletion runs. It is immediate and irreversible at that point, and we email you when it is done.

2. If you cannot sign in

Email legalandprivacy@gltrax.com with the subject line "Delete my account", from the email address on the account. That last part matters: control of the address is how we verify it is you, and it is the only thing we ask for. We will not ask you for a password, a photograph of your ID, or anything else not already in your account.

If you can no longer receive mail at that address, write from any address, say so, and tell us the email address the account was registered under. We will ask you to confirm something already in the account before we act — enough to be satisfied, and no more than that.

This channel exists for exactly the situation the stores ask about: you deleted the app, or lost the password, or never want to open it again, and you still want your data gone. It is not a lesser path. The deletion is identical.

3. What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your profile, login and account settings.
  • Every check-in and check-in conversation.
  • Nutrition, biometrics, body measurements, activity and workout records.
  • Medication and dose records, and symptom logs.
  • Laboratory results and lab documents held by us, including uploaded requisitions and result reports.
  • Data imported from Apple Health or Google Health Connect, and the connection itself.
  • Weekly AI summaries, progress history, and any reports you generated.
  • Reminder and notification settings, and your place on any mailing list.
This cannot be undone. Export first if you want a copy.

Before deleting, you can download everything you have logged as a spreadsheet file from Settings → Your data on the website. Once the deletion runs there is nothing left to export, and we cannot restore an account from a backup on request — the backups exist to survive a disaster, not to undo a deletion you asked for.

4. What we have to keep

A small number of records survive account deletion because the law or a partner contract requires it. We publish the list rather than describe it vaguely, and none of it is used to contact you, to profile you, or for any purpose other than the one it is kept for.

WhatWhy, and for how long
Signed lab authorizations and consentsThe Lab Order Authorization, Records Release Authorization and Informed Consent you signed before a lab order. Their entire purpose is to evidence what you authorized, so deleting them would destroy the record of your own consent. Kept at least six years, and for any longer period Analyte Health requires.
Billing and transaction recordsTax and accounting law. Seven years. This is the record that a payment happened — not your health data.
Access logsRecords of when health data was accessed, exported, shared or deleted, so that we can investigate a security incident and tell you accurately what was affected. Up to six years.
Your email on our suppression listSo that an unsubscribe stays honored. Kept indefinitely for that one purpose — it is what stops us from mailing you again.
BackupsEncrypted backups expire on their own rolling schedule, generally within 90 days of the deletion from the live system. They are not searched, restored or used for anything in the meantime.

Copies we do not control. Where you ordered laboratory testing, the ordering clinician and the laboratory each hold their own copy of your order and results under their own legally mandated retention periods. Deleting your GLTrax account deletes our copy. It does not, and cannot, reach theirs — those are medical records held by the practice and the lab, and you would ask them directly.

5. How long it takes

  • Usually within a few days. Most requests are reviewed and run well inside a week.
  • Within 30 days at the outside, measured from when we have verified it is you. We apply that deadline to everyone, not only to residents of the states whose law requires it.
  • Backups within about 90 days after that, as they age out on their normal schedule.

You will get an email confirming the deletion when it has run. If you have not heard anything after 30 days, write to legalandprivacy@gltrax.com and we will tell you where the request is.

6. Deleting some data, not the account

You do not have to choose between everything and nothing. To delete a specific category — say your lab results, or your check-in transcripts, or data imported from a health app — email legalandprivacy@gltrax.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" from the address on your account and tell us what you want removed. We handle it on the same timeline as a full deletion, and your account stays open.

Health app connections. Disconnecting Apple Health or Google Health Connect in your device settings stops any further import immediately. It does not remove data already imported — ask us, as above, or delete the account.

7. Your subscription

If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel the subscription — only the store can do that, because only the store holds the billing relationship. Cancel it in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, or in the Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android, before or after deleting. If you subscribed on the website, deleting your account cancels the subscription with it.

Questions about billing or a refund go to support@gltrax.com. Questions about deletion, or about any other right you hold over your data, go to legalandprivacy@gltrax.com.

8. Where this is written down properly

This page is a plain-language guide to a right described in full in our Privacy Policy §9 (your rights, and how we verify a request) and §13 (retention). If you are in Washington, Nevada or Connecticut, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice describes an additional right to delete consumer health data and how that deletion reaches our processors and backups. Where this page and those documents differ, those documents control.
